Twenty-five years I'm alive here still
Trying to get up that great big hill of hope
For a destination
I realized quickly when I knew I should
That the world was made up of this brotherhood of man
For whatever that means
And so I cry sometimes when I'm lying in bed
Just to get it all out what's in my head
And I, I am feeling a little peculiar.
And so I wake in the morning and I step outside
And I take a deep breath and I get real high
And I scream from the top of my lungs
What's going on?
And I say: HEY! yeah yeaaah,
HEY yeah yea I said hey, what's going on?
And I say: HEY! yeah yeaaah,
HEY yeah yea I said hey, what's going on?
Ooh, ooh ooooooooooooooooh ooh, ooh ooooooooooooooooh
And I try, oh my god do I try I try all the time, in this institution
And I pray, oh my god do I pray I pray all sanctity
For a revolution.
And so I cry sometimes when I'm lying bed
Just to get it all out what's in my head
And I, I am feeling a little peculiar
And so I wake in the morning and I step outside
And I take a deep breath and I get real high
And I scream from the top of my lungs what's going on?
And I say, hey hey hey hey I said hey, what's going on?
And I say, hey hey hey hey I said hey, what's going on?
And I say, hey hey hey hey I said hey, what's going on?
And I say, hey hey hey hey I said hey, what's going on?
Ooh, ooh ooooooooooooooooh ooooooooooooooooh
Twenty-five years I'm alive here still
Trying to get up that great big hill of hope
For a destination
